What is the Big Event?

We are very excited to announce The 7th Annual Big Event, a celebration of the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation that will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2020. This is a volunteer organized event to celebrate the Brainerd Public Schools and raise funds for the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation (BPSF). This year's visionary themed fundraiser is anticipated to be another SELL-OUT EVENT, with 300+ attendees in our seventh year. The Big Event appeals to local residents as well as people from outside the area as the Brainerd alumni network reaches far and wide. This event includes social hour, electronic silent auction, 4A grant demonstrations, plated meal, program, music and FUN!

BPSF exists to support the Brainerd Public Schools in various ways including scholarships and providing 4A Grants to staff and coaches. The 4A Grants cover academics, activities, arts and athletics. The MISSION of the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation is to enhance opportunities for quality academics, art, activities and athletics (4As) for the students of the Brainerd Public School District. The VISION of the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation is for the young people of the Brainerd Lakes Area to have the finest educational opportunities possible to enable all individuals to reach their fullest potential as learners, participants, citizens, artists, athletes and contributors to our community and the whole of society.

What is the Big Event Dress Code?

The BIG EVENT is VISIONARY themed this year. We want you to be comfortable so wear what you'd like! Suggestion: Bright colors, neons, fun glasses, glow necklaces, screen-printed t's, colorful sport coat, wild printed shoes... Get creative!
